Description
The Danish Business Leases Act enables lessors and lessees to negotiate several individual terms. Successful negotiations are conditional upon the participants knowing the general rules of the Business Leases Act and being familiar with a number of issues within business lease law.
The course focuses on the following issues:
- The Business Leases Act – background and scope of application
- Payment of expenses in addition to rent (consumption and operations)
- Adjustment of rent to market rent
- Sub-letting and assignment, change of control
- Maintenance
- Expiry of the lease – termination for convenience and for cause
- Vacation and the 'moving-out confrontation'
- Disputes – arbitration, housing tribunal as well as inspection and survey by experts.
The course is intended for all lawyers, property managers, real estate agents and others who daily work with aspects of business lease law.
